Mack Maine & Omarion React To Lil Wayne's Jail Bid, "He's Not Gonna Miss Out On Anything"

Young Money President Mack Maine and former YM artist Omarion have shared their reaction to Lil Wayne's speculated one-year jail sentence and were optimistic about the rapper completing his time.

According to Maine, Weezy may only be looking at an eight month sentence.

"We ain't even looking at that," he explained in an interview. "We just making sure everything goes straight with these new projects and making sure we eating...No matter what, we wake up everyday expecting the unexpected. So nothing come to us as a surprise. You just gotta move through adversity...We ain't even looking at that. We just making sure everything goes straight with these new projects and making sure we eating." (All Hip Hop)

Omarion said Wayne will likely complete his sentence much like incarcerated rapper T.I., who is set to be released from a 366-day jail sentence next spring.

"I think that it's unfortunate, but at the same time I really feel like he's not gonna miss out on anything," Omarion said in an interview. "T.I.'s about to be home and he didn't miss nothing. Nothing happened while he was gone. I don't think anybody wants to go to jail, that's just not a place for people." (Rap-Up)

Cash Money Records founders Bryan "Baby" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams released a statement on Wayne's position last month.

Wayne's plea deal on felony gun possession and drug charges was confirmed in late October.

Lil Wayne has pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession, and expects to receive a one-year jail sentence. He previously had pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges that carried at least 3 1/2 years in prison upon conviction. His trial had been due to start Jan. 20. (Associated Press)
