Jay-Z & Alicia Keys Re-Link For "Empire State Of Mind Part 2"

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys have reportedly re-linked to record an addition to their "Empire State Of Mind" hit single which will contain a new verse from Hov and be featured on Keys' new album, The Element of Freedom.

A representative from the Grammy-winning singer's camp has confirmed the forthcoming duet.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys couldn't contain their enthusiasm for New York to one song, so the pair have decided to team up again for a sequel to their hometown anthem. Keys will include "Empire State of Mind Part 2" on December's The Element of Freedom. The sequel will feature a new verse from Jay, a rep for Keys confirmed to MTV News. The first version of the song was featured on Jay's Blueprint 3 album, and the duo performed the track at the Video Music Awards and before game two of the World Series. (MTV)

Hov recently discussed his "Empire State Of Mind" performance at Game 2 of the World Series.

"The moment at Yankee stadium for me, as a kid growing up in Brooklyn, I'm still high off of that," Jay explained in an interview. "But right after that, we got a police escort right to the airport and took a plane straight out...I felt like a kid, the field is beautiful, I never been that close to the field, walking around. I jumped over the center field fence like I was catching a homerun." ("Mike & Mike In The Morning")

Jay and Keys' "Empire" music video paid homage to their hometown.

Two photos taken from the shooting location of Jay-Z's music video for his single "Empire State of Mind" have surfaced. Jay-Z is captured donning an all-black outfit with a crowd surrounding him. The video reportedly was shot in Tribeca near the World Trade Center site, Ground Zero. Though his collaborator Alicia Keys is said to share screen with him, she is not seen in the on-set pics. The duo will also hit the stage later this month for the American Music Awards.
