50 Cent recently updated fans on the status of G-Unit Records and explained why his associates Mobb Deep are no longer on the label and revealed Young Buck and Game's Unit status.

According to 50, ex-Unit members Buck and Game are still under contract with his company.

"As far as the rest of the roster, of course the original G-Unit as a group are gonna stay together," Fif promised in an interview. "That's myself, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks and on the actual label, G-Unit Records as a roster, I let Prodigy and Havoc go off the label because P had to get extra money before he went into jail. And Havoc just had idle time while P was gone because he didn't work as often as P does. M.O.P. was kinda just waiting for me to do it for them...Hot Rod and Spider Loc are still technically signed to G-Unit Records...Buck is still signed to G-Unit Records, hopefully he can come up with a record. If he can come up with a song, we can get my money back, you know what I'm saying? I hope he can come up with something right quick. I'm looking forward to that check at least. They gotta pay me not to put the [G-Unit] logo on it." (This Is 50)

Buck recently spoke on his two G-Unit releases, Welcome To Cashville and Buck The World.

"I won't say that I'm perfect or that I've done everything right out of this situation but I've done more right than wrong," Buck said in an interview. "I'm man enough to admit my wrongs and correct [them]...It was a phase in my life that came and went and it was good while it lasted but right now it's about Buck...The second album is what they call the sophomore jinx, it's traditional that most artists' second record's numbers are lower than their first's numbers...I'm still considered a platinum artist. My first album went beyond platinum, second one gold." (All Hip Hop)

Buck's dismissal from G-Unit was made public when 50 announced his decision last year on New York radio station Hot 97's now-defunct "Miss Jones in the Morning" program.

"You can look at it and see that's Game all the way," Fif said in the interview. "I was giving him a chance, giving him the benefit of the doubt. You can take this as an official notice right here, pretty much you can say, Young Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit, but signed to G-Unit [Records] as a solo artist." ("The Miss Jones Morning Show")

Fif recently discussed what the chances were of signing Beanie Sigel to G-Unit Records.

"I had a meeting with him today," 50 said in . "First we gotta start with the music -- where's the music? Then we have to get into what it would take to bring him over to G-Unit as a record company. You can't sign a deal in a conversation -- it's a process. We'll see what happens. I would listen to what he has. His skills haven't diminished. Nine times out of 10, he'll have something workable already on deck. When you're dealing with artists who have been established longer than you, it's a process. You have to figure out exactly where they are at before you commit to being a part of those projects, because they have habits and they've been conditioned for something different. You have to figure out exactly what that is before you dive in." (MTV)
