Drake Talks Rihanna's "Rated R" Album, "We Did Some Great Work Together"
Young Money's Drake has shared his thoughts on Rihanna's comeback album, Rated R, and said he had the opportunity to work with her in the studio.
While not dishing out specifics, Drizzy gave RiRi props for the overall solo project.
"Rihanna has a great album," Drake said in an interview. "She's got great records that she's using, she's got great records that she's not even using that she has for a later date. I'm excited for her. She deserves everything that she gets...We did do some great work together and hopefully it'll find it's place on some project one day. The record we have is great. It's a special record, so for it not to make it, I know something had to click. It's all good. I think the project's gonna be great no matter what." (Rap-Up)
Both artists were rumored to be having a romantic relationship over the summer.
Rihanna and Aubrey "Drake" Graham have quashed rumors that they're dating after The NY Post claimed the two were seen kissing at a bowling alley in The Big Apple earlier this week. The former Degrassi: The Next Generation star turned rapper insists there's nothing going on. "I have the most utmost respect for her," he told New York's Hot 97 radio station yesterday. "I think she's so talented. It's not like that at all. I'm being honest. [She's] just a friend that's all." (Hip Hop Pop Crunch)
Her Rated R track listing was revealed online earlier this week with select guest appearances.
Rated R: Mad House, Wait Your Turn, Hard featuring Young Jeezy, Stupid In Love, ROCKSTAR 101 featuring Slash, Russian Roulette, Fire Bomb, Rude Boy, Photographs featuring will.i.am, G4L, Te Amo, Cold Case Love and The Last Song. (Ace Showbiz)
Songwriter Ne-Yo also recently hyped Rihanna's comeback album.
"I've heard a good majority of the album...world, get ready," he said in an interview. "That's all I'm going to say. World, get ready...The best and safest way I can say this is that Rihanna has some stuff to say and she's going to say it and she ain't going to make no apologies for it." (MTV)
Rated R is due in stores Monday, November 23rd via Def Jam Records.
