Lil Scrappy On Jay-Z/Beanie Sigel Dispute, "When You Go Against One Another, You Really Don't Make No Money"

Scrappy thinks that artists having issues with one another on the same label tend to have difficulty calling a truce.

"You can't," Scrappy said about avoiding inner label beefs. "Everybody got their own ego, everybody got their own manhood, everybody got their own. Even, some people don't know they're haters and they end up hating the other dude, you feel me? For no reason, hating them because he got so much swag. Or he's hating because he's doing better than the last dude so there's always gonna be haters everywhere you go, even on the label. If there's haters in church then there's gonna be haters on the label, there's gonna be haters in the courtroom, there's gonna be haters on the label. There's haters everywhere, you got people that's putting out your music that hate you, so sh*t, that's hard...If you a real gangsta, cuz, you tell the n*gga to go meet you somewhere. Whatever we gonna do, let's do it and be done with it. If you 'not' gonna do it, then make that joint big. Get some money off of it 'cause when you going against each other, you really don't make no money, 'cause his fans don't like you and the other dude, his fans don't like you. So they would have bought [your merchandise] if y'all weren't even beefing."

Trillville's Don P previously spoke on why his issues with Scrappy became publicized in 2005.

"At first I wasn't gonna do it," he said in an interview. "Scrappy came out with a mixtape, and everybody was telling me about it. I just looked up one day and this n*ggaa got a mixtape talking about all kinds of crazy sh*t. Talking about I got extensions in my hair, just a bunch of lies and sh*t, bunch of fantasy sh*t. So I say, well if he wanna come at me on some fantasy sh*t, then I'ma show the world some real sh*t." (All Hip Hop)

Scrappy recently explained how his issues with former boss, Lil Jon, led to his move to Ludacris' Distrubin' Tha Peace record label.

"[Luda's manager] Chaka [Zulu] was a fan," Scrappy explained in an interview. "Every time we would pass each other, they always showed love, I always showed love...And then one day, they didn't hear me anymore. So they were like, 'We have the machine that he needs.' My whole problem is that I was never with a good machine. Everybody thought I was with a good machine just because Lil Jon was doing his thing when I first came out. But Jon was only worried about Jon. And when Lil Jon fell off, he didn't worry about helping nobody else." (VIBE)

Roc-A-Fella co-founder Dame Dash also said rap conflicts like Jay and Beans should be avoided.

"I love Jay, I love Beans -- what's the reason for beef?" Dash said in an interview. "That's stupid. What's the reason for beef? People die, people don't feel good -- I want people to laugh...I was hurt for him, more or less, because I know that ain't him. But I don't want to speak on that. Whatever [Beanie's] going through where he's got to do that...I could understand where he may look at things and feel that way. I can see that. He's probably got a lot of people around him and nobody to really tell him what's going on. It was a different environment for Roc-A-Fella back then. I feel bad for those cats. I love those cats. I hate that they struggle. I hate it. I hate to see anybody struggle. I don't embrace that. I'm not one of those dudes that get happy when I hear something bad about somebody I had a bond with. I really loved those dudes." (MTV)
