Cash Money Records' R&B singer Jay Sean has opened up about his aim to snag a collaboration with Jay-Z and Beyonce.
Sean said he has already ran the idea by Jay.
"Jay Z and Beyonce are the ultimate, I know that's being extremely greedy because one of them would be enough but you've got to dream," Sean said in an interview. "I asked Jay-Z last time I saw him I was like 'Come on man, lets do this, me, you and B,' and he was like yeah ok...maybe one day. He knew I was taking the mickey."
Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman recently spoke on adding Jay Sean to his label.
"We've been trying to expand into rock for a long time," Baby said in an interview. "It just never cracked. We didn't have the system to pull it off. But with Kevin, Republic gave him a great window to do what he wanted to do. The new music is hot. We are going into all types of music from Kevin and Drake to Jay Sean. I believe in the music."
Sean's Cash Money debut landed on the sales charts last December.
Cash Money's Jay Sean also made his way onto the charts this week as All Or Nothing opened at No. 33. After a week on shelves, the singer's new album has pushed 30,800 copies.)
Aside from the music, Sean recently spoke on Lil Wayne heading into jail to serve his one-year sentence.
Sean might be down with being one of Lil Wayne's pals, but don't think he's mastered how to sound cool saying the rapper's name with a British accent: "I can't say it! I say 'little' Wayne and it makes him sound cute as opposed to a gangster." When asked if Wayne seemed blase about serving his upcoming prison term for gun charges, Sean says that Wayne is blase about a lot of things: "He's just seen it all and done it all. He's seen so much in his life. He's got all the money, he's had all the girls. I think all that drives him is to stay on top. So he's looking at this like, 'Oh OK, let's get this out of the way and get back to work.'"
