With no big releases this week, Jay-Z managed to sneak back into the top 3 on The Billboard 200.
The Blueprint 3, moved up two more spots this go-round, selling 54,900 units. After six weeks BP3 has a tally of 1,116,500 albums sold, according to the Nielsen SoundScan.
The Black Eyed Peas made an amazing climb this week from no. 23 all the way to no. 6. The group’s E.N.D. disc had a 56 percent rise in sales, going from 25,500 units sold last cycle to 39,600 this week. The Peas have a total of 1,234,600 CDs sold in 19 weeks.
R&B star Mario debuted at no. 9 with his new album D.N.A. The CD, which includes the hit song, “Break Up” with Gucci Mane and Sean Garrett, moved 31,600 units in its first week on shelves.
Twenty spots down is T.Dot up –and-comer Drizzy Drake. The Young Money rapper climbed one spot this week to no. 27 with his So Far Gone EP. He sold 17,700 LPs this week, making his overall stats stand at 180,000.
Next week look for Royce Da 5’9” to make an appearance on the Billboard 200.
