DJ Khaled Plots Victory, Calls in Usher & Drake for New LP

Miami tastemaker DJ Khaled is hard at work on his upcoming album, which he says will include a few surprises.

According to MTV News, Khaled says his album will feature the usual Florida regulars like Rick Ross and Plies, along with two artists he’s never worked with before- Drake and Usher.

“I worked with someone I never worked with before that I always wanted to work with,” Khalid told MTV. “I won’t tell you if it’s one of my singles or one of the singles, ‘cause I like that to be a surprise. But I did work with someone I always wanted to work with; his name is Usher. I did work with him, and I’m excited by that. I worked with someone [else] I never worked with before; his name is Drake. I’m a fan of his music. I think he’s talented.”

The album, his fourth, is titled Victory and is scheduled for release in 2010.

Violence Erupts at Akon Concert, 18 People Injured

Eighteen people were injured at an Akon concert in Melbourne, Australia last night (October 26) after more than 50 people rushed security guards to gain access to the concert venue. According to ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) News, eight of the 18 people injured in the incidents that occurred both inside and outside Melbourne Park had to be rushed to the hospital. Although many fans were involved in the brawls only one 21-year-old man has been charged with assault so far. Kon reportedly walked into the crowd to try to stop fans from fighting. Lil Boosie Violates Probation, Judge Doubles Jail Time

Lil Boosie is behind jail sooner than expected after failing to follow a judge’s instructions. According to Louisiana news network, WAFB, the Baton Rouge rapper showed up in court on Monday (November 9) for violating the terms of his probation, and a judge sent him directly to jail when his electronic ankle monitor revealed numerous infractions. As previously reported, Boosie copped a plea deal back in September for a drugs and weapons charge in 2008. In order to avoid trial in the case, he pled guilty and the judge agreed to only sentence him to two years, with him probably only having to serve one year on good behavior.
