Lil Wayne’s “Carter 4″ Goes Straight ToNumber 1 – Sells Just Under 1 MillionFirst Week!

Well, well, well. Weezy did it again. CarterIV goes straight to number 1 on the album charts. According to Hits Daily Double it also sold 1 million copies in the first week. Official numbers are in tomorrow.
Update: According to Billboard, Nielsen Soundscan reports that it sold 964,000
first week. Still a great acheivement for
Lil Wayne.
So does Weezy officially hold the Hip Hop
throne?

Violence Erupts at Akon Concert, 18 People Injured

Eighteen people were injured at an Akon concert in Melbourne, Australia last night (October 26) after more than 50 people rushed security guards to gain access to the concert venue. According to ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) News, eight of the 18 people injured in the incidents that occurred both inside and outside Melbourne Park had to be rushed to the hospital. Although many fans were involved in the brawls only one 21-year-old man has been charged with assault so far. Kon reportedly walked into the crowd to try to stop fans from fighting. The YouTube video footage of the concert last night below shows Akon entering the audience with his bodyguards asking people to “calm it down” while fans cheered. Kanye West Ready For Lil Wayne's "Carter" Film, "Few Will Ever Live The Life Of A True Rock Star"

Kanye West has displayed his interest in Lil Wayne's upcoming The Carter documentary by placing its trailer and labeling the Young Money rapper as a true rock star on his popular blog. Writing via his daily blog, Yeezy inked a brief mention of Wayne's new documentary. "FEW WILL EVER LIVE THE LIFE OF A TRUE ROCK STAR," Ye wrote Sunday (November 8). "WAYNE IS ONE OF THE FEW." (Kanye West's Blog) Weezy's film was previously delayed, however, it will now be released later this month. QD3 Entertainment is finally going to release their film on rockstar rapper Lil Wayne to the public. They debuted it at this year's Sundance Film Festival and reports say the film was well received.
